Sikh National College Qadian once again showcased outstanding performance by clinching the championship trophy in the Inter-College Volleyball Tournament organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Sharing details, Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal and Head of the Sports Department & Volleyball Coach Dr. Simratpal Singh said that the college team defeated Shahzada Nand College, Amritsar, in the final match with a score of 3–1, securing the first position in the tournament.
Notably, five players from the college team — Sarpreeet Singh, Umed Singh, Raunak, Ritikveer Singh, and Pawan Chaudhary — have been selected to represent Guru Nanak Dev University in the upcoming Inter-University Volleyball Tournament. Earlier, the college had also emerged champion in the Kabaddi Tournament.
Upon their return with the championship trophy, Dr. Simratpal Singh and his team received a warm welcome from the entire college staff. Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal congratulated the team, stating that the college continues to excel not only in academics but also in sports under the able guidance of Dr. Simratpal Singh.
The College Managing Committee Secretary Dr. Balcharanjit Singh Bhatia and all committee members extended heartfelt congratulations to Principal Dr. Hundal, Coach Dr. Simratpal Singh, the winning players, their parents, and the entire staff.
At the university level, the victorious team and Dr. Simratpal Singh were also honored by University Volleyball Coach Dr. Jagdeep Singh and other officials, who presented them with the championship trophy.
