Qadian 18 October (Salam tari)– To foster a competitive spirit and inspire students to achieve high-ranking positions, the Gurdaspur District Administration has launched free coaching for UPSC and civil services exam preparation at St. Warriors School, Basrai. The online classes were inaugurated by ADC (General) Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi (IAS).

The initiative, supported by the school’s Director, Sarwan Singh Dhandal, and Chairman, Sajjan Singh Dhandal, was marked by an official ceremony. Dr. Bedi, accompanied by DPRO Harjinder Singh Kalsi, district guidance councilors Parminder Singh Saini and assistant district guidance counselor Mukesh Kumar, was welcomed with a bouquet. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a cultural program presented by the students.
In his motivational address, Dr. Bedi stated that he and District Magistrate Dalvinderjit Singh (IAS) are dedicated to help the district’s youth to prepare for these prestigious examinations. He urged students to set clear goals, noting that life is meaningless without purpose. Embodying his advice, “Work so quietly that your success makes noise,” he encouraged students to work hard and respect their teachers.
