Anti-rabies vaccination, WhatsApp chatbot service, and pregnancy scans at Aam Aadmi Clinics proving a boon for the people of Block Bham

Date:

Qadian, August 23 (Salam Tari): Under the initiative of the Punjab Government and the guidance of the Health Minister, several new facilities have been added since the inception of the Aam Aadmi Clinics running under the Health Department.

In Block Bham, the Aam Aadmi Clinics at Shri Hargobindpur Sahib, Udhanwal, Qadian, Bharth, Kandila, Mand, Bohja, and Kotli Lahil are proving to be a blessing for the people at the village level. Earlier, people had to visit community health centers for medicines and diagnostic tests, but now these services are available close to their homes through the Aam Aadmi Clinics.

Along with free treatment, medicines, and diagnostic tests, the clinics are constantly adding new facilities. At present, at least 112 high-quality medicines are being provided. Anti-rabies vaccination is now available at these neighborhood clinics, ensuring that people no longer need to rush to big hospitals or spend money on expensive private treatments if bitten by a dog or other animal. Patients can receive the vaccine on the 3rd, 7th, and 28th days at their nearest Aam Aadmi Clinic without paying any fees.

To ensure transparency of services, a WhatsApp chatbot service has also been launched, allowing patients to access test reports, doctor appointments, and other health-related information from home with just a single message.

Special attention is also being given to the health of pregnant women. Earlier, Level-2 scans required travel to far-off centers, but now these scans can be done free of cost at nearby empanelled hospitals with scan facilities through the clinics.

Other services include maternal and child health facilities, non-communicable disease care, and more. The most important benefit is that people no longer need to spend money at private hospitals, as everything is available near their homes.

The entire staff is well-trained, polite, and dedicated to their work, which has become a topic of positive discussion among locals. As a result, the monthly OPD in Aam Aadmi Clinics under Block Bham averages nearly 3,000 patients.

“The primary aim of the Health Department is to provide better healthcare services to the people. Free medicines and diagnostic tests at these clinics are significantly improving public health standards”.

-Civil Surgeon Gurdaspur, Dr. Jaswinder Singh Said

Senior Medical Officer and Nodal Officer Dr. Ankur Kaushal said:

“That all schemes launched by the Punjab Government and the Health Department are being implemented on a priority basis at these clinics, and the entire Block Bham network of Aam Aadmi Clinics is committed to providing every possible facility to the people”.

Block Extension Educator Surinder Kaur added that awareness campaigns are also being run in the clinics so that patients are informed about every health scheme and can avail the maximum benefit.
